What we collect, and where

When you buy the EPUB, Stripe Checkout asks for your name, your email and your payment details. Stripe handles the card. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your name, your email, the amount, whether the payment went through, and which ad or link sent you, if any.

When you use the contact form, we get your name, your email and your message. The form runs through an automation service, which emails the message to the author.

We keep two short lists: buyers (name, email, amount, date, source) and messages (name, email, message, date). They live in that automation service.

Other services that see your visit

  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 checks the buy button and the contact form for bots. Google collects device and usage data for that check under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Fonts and jsDelivr serve the fonts and scripts. Like any web server, they see your IP address.
  • When our ads run, the page loads Meta and Google advertising tags to count visits and purchases that came from those ads.
  • Gmail sends the email with your book. Google Drive stores the file.

What we do with it

We use your email to send the book and the download link, and to answer you if you write. That’s it. We don’t sell or rent your data, and nobody else gets the lists. Any update we send later will carry a one-click unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it to deliver the book, honor the download link and answer your messages. Payment records stay as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

Write to author@michaeljkram.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. The only thing we can’t delete is a payment record the law makes us keep.

Children

This site is not meant for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
